Rude calls and big late fees on Suncorp credit card

My wife applied for a credit card for us through Suncorp, and the application went to Citibank, which we found out later. When you ask for credit cards through Suncorp, the pre-recorded message goes to great lengths to tell you that Suncorp takes no responsibility for the credit card at all and completely distances itself from City Bank. No wonder!!!

These people are the rudest, most arrogant individuals I have ever dealt with! We have never missed a payment, but a couple of times we have forgotten or been a little late (a week or so). Then you get the phone call, at any hour of the day, and the only thing missing is the interrogation light and the smack around the head! It goes on and on, with rude questions and continual belligerent comments. Explaining that it was an oversight and that you will make the payment immediately is not enough. You have to put up with 20 minutes of abuse from people in India, and they do not miss any opportunity to charge you big late fees.

We have been with Suncorp for many years and paid off a number of houses with them, but as far as I am concerned they can go jump for putting these people in charge of their credit card business. We are about to pay out the card with Citibank, and then I will never have anything to do with them again!
