We had direct tv services for approx 20 years. Reason being, we are avid football fans and wanted the football package only available through direct tv. Their customer service is HORRIBLE but we dealt with it for years! We finally got fed up when they recently billed us over $500 for services (yes some were past due but that is RIDICULOUS for a cable bill!) they were unwilling to work with us at all regarding these charges. We told them we would like to cancel our service if they wouldnt work with us & they said "ok, sir". We cancelled, then approximately 3 months later they deducted $508 through an unauthorized debit card transaction! When I contacted them about it they said they were entitled to do that because of the statement they show on the back of their invoice which states that they can do this illegal collection activity. I am DISGUSTED and have contacted an attorney - if I can get representation I will be starting a class action suit - don't EVER, EVER, EVER go with direct tv!!! You will be sorry I guarantee it! Dish network, although they do not have the nfl package is 1000s better in every way!
