Arrogant liars, hidden fees

If you are considering switching from cable to DIRECTV... DON'T!!! We have had DIRECTV for 3 years now and are so glad to be getting rid of it. Not only does our signal go out with storms, but the movies we ordered through pay per view cannot even be paused, which is the whole point of watching a movie at home. When I asked them about this they said we have to record the movie as we watch it so that we can pause it and come back to it otherwise it keeps playing. They have also thrown on one fee after another and told us we could "purchase" additional recievers at Best Buy only to tell us that now that we have cancelled services they actually own those recievers that we paid $69 for and that if we don't return them they will charge us $45 non-return fee. They also change a monthly use fee per TV that the cable company does not charge. The final straw was that when I called to very nicely cancel because we need to save $ and can get a lower fee with the cable company, the woman basically yelled at me that I was making a terrible mistake and that they were not losing my business because I WOULD be back with in 90 days, which she said over and over at least 20 times with a very snide attitude during the 10 minute cancellation phone call. One thing is for sure... I will never go back to directv again!
