Football package games blacked out after rules changed without notice

After being DirecTV subscribers for over ten years and purchasing the football package all those years, they changed the rules this year and didn't let us know.
Directv blames it on the NFL, but we live in a rural area of Missouri and can't get any reliable tv service by antenna. We have for over ten years watched the KC Chiefs on the football package we purchase from Directv.
We discovered on this first Sunday of the season that because DirecTV "has plans" to get us local stations sometime around the end of this year, the Chiefs and Rams are blacked out for us.
Directv gladly took our money $200 this year for the football package without any notice that anything had changed. I called them and a supervisor is supposed to return my call, but it will probably be tomorrow when we're at work. I'm fed up and furious and will be contacting elected officials, state attorney general, NFL, Chiefs, and everyone else I can think of. It probably won't do any good, and when it doesn't we will end our many years of subscribing to DirecTV.
