Worst Experience So Far - DirecTV customer service/installation

Have you guys ever had your technician NOT show up or answer your phone calls the day he was supposed to install your DirecTV? I was FURIOUS so I called customer service and asked to speak to a supervisor where I was put on hold for over an HOUR. The lady who was to transfer me through connected me to a voicemail system so the call was lost after an hour of waiting. I called back and got disconnected AGAIN. I called for a third time thinking I must get some sort of compensation for this since I am now wasting my time and the technician never called or showed up. All they said was "We can get someone over there in two days" where I said "NO I've been waiting several days now. I called a week in advance so I would have television the day I moved in and I'm still without it" They told me they set me up with a technician and to call back in an hour. I called back with the number they gave me thinking it was a direct line to the lady I was speaking to but it was their MAIN number. I finally spoke to a forth person explaining once again my situation and she said, "so how can I help you then?" I couldn't take any more from that point on. I've never experience such poor, poor customer service. DirecTV is AWFUL and I don't even have their service yet and I can say that much. I've read other reviews and now i'm nervous to get my bill in the mail and see how much i'm actually paying. I was told one price but i'm sure it will be quite another after all the reviews i've read. I do NOT look forward to the next 2 years of having their service. If I could cancel on them I would but that means more money out of my pocket. Why does DirecTV still exist??
