Service Denied Over Brother-in-Law's Order Using Our Address

The company would not give me service because my brother-in-law, who has never lived at our residence, used my address and phone number to order Direct TV. We have never had a Direct TV unit at our address. I went to a number of sections of the company voicing my complaint, and they just kept repeating that he had given this address on his order. I even wrote a letter to the corporate office voicing my complaint but have not received a reply yet.

I also asked them to look for an installation slip or packaging slip showing that I received their goods. They just kept repeating that he gave them this address and phone number on his order, on which he owes them about $100 plus the receiver. They said if I would get the money from him plus the receiver, they would do business with me. I told them I am not a collection agency, plus we have no contact with him, nor is he allowed on the property. My credit is impeccable, but that seems to make no difference to them at all.

I gave them his address in Mexico, but they did not seem to want it. This seems idiotic to me, since I would be a steady paying customer and they would gain much more than they lost through him. I spent a total of about 3 hours going through a lot of different departments of Direct TV, including their collection department and the department just above the collection department, to no avail.
