Promised $50 Friend Credit Missing, First Bill Too High

Direct TV lied. They promised ("You get $50. They get $50."), but they lied. Instead, they wanted to credit my account and my friend's account. My friend does not have Direct, so they told me I would get both $50 amounts. My bill was supposed to be $19.99 for 10 months, $29.99 for 2 months and then $46.99 for 6 months. My first bill was $46.99 instead of $19.99. We called and found that we were not getting the extra $50 credit, so we cancelled the service and changed our credit card account before they charged it.
