They said one credit check free then cancel up to 30 days and then a charge was added to bank account on 8/16/04 of $9.95 Dallas, Texas

I applied for a free credit check from Equifax. It said you could cancel within 30 days. So I get the report and I look on my computer at my bank account, and &9.95 Has been withdrawn under the name of CIC creditmonitoring?! I calle them to cancel and get a refund. All they did was try to convince me to keep it no matter what I said! Like zombies they kept you after yo wanted to cancel "I.D. Theft is high Blah Blah" I said I want to cancel "We monitor your checks blah blah" over and over. Till I finally yelled "I WANT TO CANCEL!!! Then he said he did and proceed to tell me of its benefits.

I said why are you telling me this, You said I'm canceled. He sais after the 1stmo you are. I said I want a refund. (They even play a lady talking about I.D. Theft while you're on hold!) Like brain washing!) Also he asked for my credit card number earlier and I would not give it out to him. Any how I said I want a refund, he said no. I told him there was a law require a refund on purchases made within 30 days.

He said only in some states. He also said when I signed upfor Equifax it was right there in the contract. It was not, I even went back refilled it out almost, and it was not there. I would like a refund of $9.95. I have learned my lesson the hard way not to ever order form, online again and I never will.
