After being told 5 different prices for services, I got the price I was promised so we ordered service in October bundling w/ATT for net. We got installed a few days later. Then when we got w/ATT to install, there were issues. They don't follow what Directv says so I was to pay extra for this and that-plus we noticed the kid who installed us didn't get everything up and going right before he left, he left a huge box of cable next to our house and he tore the guttering off our house when he installed the dish! We decided if they can't get it together w/their bundling department and the MANY other issues we had, we wanted to cancel service. Not a problem and since we cancelled before the deadline, we owed nothing. I even got a statement saying nothing was due and they were going to credit us $134.74 (no idea where they got that number but fine...) We watched our credit card statement online and they had charged us $59... So I called and asked what was going on w/the charges... They said be patient, they will credit us the $134.74... A month later, I get an email saying I was late paying $270 for unreturned equpiment and will charge my credit card 15 days from the date of the email. I immediately call and they say well we got the "cards" on November 9th, but there's not a record of the equipment. I had NO clue what the H a "card" was so they said it's inside the equipment. I want to know why I would mail a "card" I never knew existed back but keep some crappy equipment I don't want or need laying around my house and told her if they'd like, I can sue them for the damage to my guttering, which Im sure will outweigh the cost of this "unreturned equipment"?! All she could say was she would note my account... Whatever that means. At the end of the call, she said call back Monday (today) and speak w/someone about it (which I plan on doing).in the mean time, I disputed the $59 charge w/my credit card company. Hopefully that way they can't charge my card... But my advice, DON'T go with Directv!!!
