Bill Van Horn, Food COncession Equipment and Location Scam - Home Depot Hot Dog Locations

I too was ripped off by this company/person. The 'company' is actually one person, Bill Van Horn.

I entered into a contract to have all equipment, permits, licenses, etc to have a hot dog food concession business at a local Home Depot. Total cost, $16000.

After weeks of delay, I finally received a food trailer. I had to get it permitted myself. After other delays, I was promised a meeting with Home Depot management, which was 'cancelled' at the last minute. I was told by Mr Van Horn that the manager had decided not to have a food vendor at their store. (Earlier when I voiced my concern, I was told that managers have no say, and that it is all done on the district level). I was never able to meet with any management, as they refused to meet with me. I later learned it was because I was 'represented' by Mr Van Horn.

I have since learned that he has done the same thing (promise Home Depot locations) to others. One person never received anything at all from this company, but invested 3 times what I invested.

All attempts to rectify the situation are met with promises and lies. He was supposed to sell my equipment to new customers. At the time, I still thought he was legitimate. The last time I spoke, he told me he gave my number to more than 500 people. No one has called me about buying my trailer.

Beware! You will NOT get a location. He is about selling inferior equipment. He is not authorized to secure these locations.
