TrafficMaster Carpet Tile Order Delayed Over 7 Days, No Cancel

I placed an order online over a week ago for carpet tiles, and the order status is still listed as "being processed". After many email and phone call attempts to contact Home Depot about this issue, it is still not resolved. The Home Depot website listing for the carpet tile item states that there are an additional 3 business days for order processing in addition to 3-5 days for shipping. I realize the shipping will take 3-5 business days. However, I do not understand why the order processing has taken over 7 days and it still has not even shipped.

Every time I contact Home Depot, I am told that there was a delay with the vendor, and Home Depot does not even apologize for this delay, which has never been brought to my attention unless I call and hunt down someone at Home Depot. Today I was told that they contacted the vendor, that there was a delay, and that it was expected to ship out today and I should receive a shipping confirmation tonight. I was told the same thing last week, and days pass and no confirmation is ever sent to me.

My question is, with such delays and with being told over and over that it will ship out by the end of the day, why can't I cancel my order? I have never dealt with any other company that would not let me cancel an order when it has not yet shipped! Especially when they are unable to fulfill that order in the time frame promised on their website!
