Packages Signed For at Wrong Apartment, Driver Cannot Be Reached

I ordered some expensive items and they were to be delivered through FedEx. It was delivered, but to the wrong apartment. I received an email that the packages were delivered. I called them back, wondering how. They told me, yeah, you signed for it. I filed a claim and told them it was never me. They told me they delivered it to an apartment, and I told them I live in a basement. You got the wrong person.

Anyway, they told me to give them 48 hours and that the driver would get the packages back and redeliver them to me. It never happened; they cannot contact their delivery guy. What kind of company is this? Now they want me to call the companies I bought my items from so they could dispute this. They are not believing this since someone signed for the packages with my name.

I will never buy something if it will be delivered through FedEx.
