Hands package to wrong person & then can't find it new york

I order some expensive items and they were to be deliver through FEDEX, well it was deliver but to the wrong apartment. I receive an email by packages were delivered, I call them back wondering how? They tell me yeah you signed for it. I fill a claim tell them it was never me, they tell me they deliver it to an apartment, I tell them I live in a basement. You got the wrong person. Anyways they tell me to give them 48 hours and that the driver will get the packages back and redeliver them to you. Never happen, they can't contact their delivery guy. What kind of company is this? Now they want me to call the companies i bought my items from so they could dispute this, they are not believing this since someone sign for the packages with my name.

I will never buy something if it will be deliver through FEDEX.
