Is a ripoff

I went to Legacy Ranch Cleaners on 2/2/09 to drop off a shirt. This was the first time I used their service. I asked them how much it would cost to dry-clean my shirt and they told me it was $3.85 tax. I said that was too much and then inquired about laundry service instead. They told me it was $1.49 tax. I said that is what I wanted to have done. I also requested a list of their service prices. The lady working there wrote the prices down on the back of my customer copy pickup receipt (which I still have) for my shirt. That same day I was going to pay and they told me that I don't pay until I pickup my shirt.

So I returned today (2/4/09) to pickup my shirt and I was told that the price was $4.00. I said how can that be? I requested the service for $1.49 tax. They told me "no" that is not what was done. The shirt was dry-cleaned for $3.85 tax. I said that they needed to honor what they originally told me. She said that the item that I took them was a blouse and that it wasn't a shirt and that was a different price then what they quoted me.in order to get my shirt back I had to pay $3.24 instead of the $1.49 tax that I should have been charged.

They are taking advantage of people by doing a bait-and-switch. Then they had the nerve to tell us that it is "not their problem" since they are "not the owners". The interesting thing is that I was trying out their service with this one shirt to see the quality of their service for future business. I spend a lot of money annually on dry-cleaning/laundry service.
