Owe $255.78 for Early Cancellation but No Signed Agreement

Directv has had me as a customer for roughly 13 years. Now they claim a contract binds me, and because I ended service ahead of time, they say I owe $255.78. No service agreement bearing my signature can be shown. Allegedly the terms appeared on a bill after I received a DVR, and paying that bill counted as accepting the contract. To me that is a shady way of doing business, so I will not pay. My credit report will carry just this one black mark, though I pay cash for everything anyway. Be warned about Directv!!!
