55-inch TV picked up and sold after 22.5 payments made

I made 22.5 payments on a 55-inch TV and then became homeless because of mold problems. I explained to the manager of the store that I would stay at a motel. The manager insisted they could pick up the TV and hold it until I moved into my place. Moving took longer than I expected, but I called weekly to verify that it was okay for the TV to be left there. The TV was picked up on 1-14-06. My payments are due on the 15th of every month.

At the time of pickup, I asked if they could write on the receipt I brought that they were holding the TV. I moved into my new place and called the company and was told that the manager at the time had a warrant for his arrest for defrauding the company and that he had sold my TV. The TV was sold based on how many payments were left. I had 1.5 payments left, which totaled $279.00. The new manager said he will find another TV someday, and I am still waiting.
