Ripoff, repair without estimate, 15 minute for $300.00

I recently had repair service from Sears that took about 10 to 15 minutes for the technician to change a start device on my refrigerator. He did not give me any estimate before he did the work. After finishing the work, he handed me a $270 bill. I think it is unfair.

He should have told me much before he actually repaired it. I called the service department and was told that it was accurate charge and they were threatening me to send the bill to a collection agency.

Image that you are getting your car repaired and the technician checks your car and corrects the problem within 15 minutes and hands you bill with three hundred dollars ($300.00) without an estimate. How will you feel and what you are you going to do?

The worse, the technician and the people working in the Sears Customer Service were very rude, and they just refused to correct the problem even they admitted that it is Sears' policy that an estimate must be given before any work starts. Bad for Sears and bad for their customers.
