I called Sears repair service to fix my Kenmore refrigerator, the freezer was not working well. The technician came and spent 15 minutes replacing the thermostat. He charged $107.52 for the thermostat (I see now Sears sells it online for $68.19) and $228.00 for the labor. After some negotiation he took the 10% coupon, so the total cost for replacing the thermostat is $309.47.

When I called the repair service to schedule an appointment I agreed that I would pay $75 if I did not go with the estimate, of course I did not expect a price that this. I let him to do the repair because otherwise I would pay $75 for nothing and need to call some other service and waste another half day waiting.
