Several of my children's Christmas presents didn't arrive

I have ordered several of my children's Christmas presents on line this year. All have been delivered that utilized USPS or UPS. For some reason, all of the businesses that sent packages out FedEx are over due or lost. 2 of these packages are expensive Santa gifts. Packages are not following a direct route. They were sent form the state next door and for some reason traveled all the way to Kansas and now are just sitting there for the past several days. Some have said they are out for delivery for the past 4 days and have not yet been delivered. One disappeared somewhere in Henderson, CO weeks ago and when we called FedEx customer service, they had no idea what happened to it. It is hard to believe one company with such neglectful customer service practices can have such a significantly negative impact on our family's Christmas.in the future I will request from companies that my packages do not get sent FedEx.
