Packages Marked Left at Door Never Arrived, Wedding Item Missed

I have had problems with FedEx... They always say my packages were left in front of my door, which never happened. I do not know if they did not deliver or delivered to the wrong address.
One of the packages they missed was a purchase I made for my wedding. I called them several times and they did not really care about me. I would like to have the option, when I buy something online, to choose another company to deliver my stuff instead of FedEx.
