Citibank - Home Depot Credit Card

Citibank (Home Depot) closed my account based on a medical collection which was not even mine. The letter stated to send proof that the info was accurate for a reconsideration. Well, I did, and they claimed that their copy of the credit report did not match my copy, which first, had the account as medical, and the new copy had it completely deleted. They then claimed that their new policy was to make people apply for a card all over again (a ridiculous idea since they can pull soft inquiries which indicates they already have a relationship with you. They want to do a hard inquiry, which brings down the score. Further, they lied about reconsideration because when the proof was given they stated their policy changed. I am complaining to the fed govt about their practices and am publishing some articles online with the proof of this little game. Sadistic at best. I will never walk into another Home Depot again, and they even admitted that my report had NOTHING negative on it, but claim that at the time they saw a medical collection. Too bad I have a credit analyst from HD as a consultant who says they don't even consider medical collections. Whatever remedies are available I am going for them. My mom is an attorney of 30 years and is doing this for free. Class action maybe?
