QUITTING VONAGE - vontage telephone service

Hello was happy with vonage, up to the point when they told me they were going to charge me 116.00 to close my account. When you sign up for service you agree to a one year contract for service, and upon ending that contract you still must pay a cancellation fee of 40.00. Then i was under the one year contract so they were going to charge me for the little unit they use to connect to your computor. Ok my mistake i thought vonage was a good company. They also wanted me to sign up a friend and transfer my account to them, i had to laugh at that they must be nuts. Its to bad they had to show them selfs like this. I would not tell anyone to try this service. The 24.00 a month turns into about 32.00 a month with tax's and fee's.
