Do not do business with Vonage - Buyer Beware

We contacted Vonage to have our business numbers transferred to Vonage. Vonage could not complete the transfer. We were sent a letter with an 888 number to call. We called. This was the first red flag as to what type of company Vonage is. The first three people that we spoke to: 1.) barely spoke English 2.) did not know what we were talking about and 3.) could not help. After 45 days of calling and trying to get the numbers transfered, we noticed a charge on our credit card for the service fee! We decided to cancel the attempt to have the numbers moved. We called Vonage and were told we would be charged a cancellation fee! Of $179.00!! We said that we would not pay a fee for a service that we did not receive! Vonage took the money from our account! We have reported this to the FCC. Do not do business with Vonage. Do not give them an account number - ever!
