Shell card closed after ten years of on-time payments

After I used a Shell credit card for over 10 years, always paying on time and more than the minimum, Citibank decided to close my account and cancel my card based on a negative credit score caused by an accident that left me in the hospital for almost a year. I called and explained to Citibank, but the woman who answered the phone said it didn't matter and that anyone with a low credit score, no matter the reason, would be cancelled. I promptly told her that since I was unable to make payments on the other cards I had, I would now be unable to make payments on this one.
