Card Canceled After Cash Payoff, 15,250 Points Lost

For 11 years we held a Citibank / Sears Card and never once missed a payment. Whenever we paid the balance off, we did it in cash at a Sears store. Citibank canceled the card with no notice or warning, saying the reason was that we had settled it in cash. Put simply, they canceled us for making payments. When we asked why, the answer was that it "looked unusual."

We also forfeited over 15,250 reward points. This card took what was ours, and the company is getting away with it.
