Decided to switch to DTV because they were offering a promotional special. I made certain to have the sales rep cover EVERY single possible charge so I would know EXACTLY what to expect my monthly bill to be. The first month my bill was exactly as quoted, but after that all hell broke lose and I've had to call and argue with them every single month about the add on charges. They added a "Protection Plan" without my consent or knowledge. I was NEVER told about this so called protection plan but apparently it is added on automatically. They agreed to remove it but then the next bill I received was even higher? When I called they said "Oh, no one told you that you have to pay a fee to cancel the Protection Plan?" WHAT? Pay to cancel something I NEVER ordered or was told about? I am sick and tired of having to contact DTV every single month and spend my time getting them to come clean & fix these deceptive charges. I'd like to cancel but they have you sign a 2 year contract and the buy out is ridiculous! I should have seen that as a huge RED FLAG! I will cancel when I'm 1 year into it though and I don't care if I have to cough up $200 bucks because I will be free from these liars!
