Ripoff deceptive billing practices scam bait and switch Carol Stream Illinois

In February of I decided to buy a Dell home computer through their on-line site. We saw a television advertisement referring to 90 days without interest. Consequently, both my girlfriend and I were under the impression that we signed up for a 90 day interest-free financing program.

At the beginning of April (over two months later) I get a statement (first statement ever) that says I'm 30 days past due on my first payment and I even have a late charge assessment of 29.00. Puzzled, I called Dell and inquired into the mistake of receiving a bill prior to my 90 day term. The customer service agent said that my account was a revolving account and that it was I who had been mistaken.

I couldn't believe it; a 4th year law student falls victim to a bait and switch scam from a "reputable" company. The strange part was that everything appeared to be in synch with a 90 day interest free financing program, then I suspiciously get a bill which indicates that I received a prior bill and that I am now overdue.

I'd love to be the lead plaintiff in a class action suit against this corporation. I thought this kind of stuff stopped happening a long time ago.

Rest assured Dell, the money that you will try to steal from me will far outweighed by the loss you will experience from word of mouth testimonies like mine.
