Fraudulent finance charges! Ripoff

My wife and myself decided it was time for a new computer. She recently started a daycare and I a boat cover manufacturing business. We decided to check with Dell. We thought what a deal. On all prefered Dell accounts, you get intrest free financing for one year from the date of purchase. Well, the first bill came in and low and behold there were the finance charges. The amount owed was $100 and of that $68 was for the finance charge! I called and explained my problem to an account rep and all they kept saying was I understand your problem, but you didn't qualify for the interest free financing. My response was, on my bill it says Dell prefered account, and then I asked her if that was correct. She said yes. Then I proceeded to ask if that is the case, why am I getting charged finance charges. Her response once again was I understand your problem, but you didn't qualify for the interest free financing. At this point I asked when was I going to be informed I didn't qualify to which she responded, on your first bill. Talk about being shady to say the least. I loaded the computer with all kinds of upgrades and software to aid in my wifes and my business as well as her school work because I thought I could have it paid off before I got interest and finance charges added. I couldn't have been more wrong and as of now, I couldn't be more jaded. The company is crooked to say the least. I am not sure anything will happen to them because of this, but I will make my best effort to be sure some unsuspecting person does not fall victim to this ever again. DO NOT BUY FROM DELL or FINANCE THROUGH THEM!!! Save yourself the headaches.
