Paypal error causes nearly $200 in NSF fees, apologizes but will not credit NSF fees! San Jose California

I sell items on eBay and have an agreement that eBay can charge my sellers fees to my Paypal account which then gets automatically deducted from my checking account. The amount that was supposed to be deducted is $29.18. The amount that was actually deducted was $228.90.
That amount has caused 6 overdraft fees in the amount of $28 each.
Paypal has credited $199.72 an additional$28 for one overdraft fee. The have written me a letter of apology acknowledging the error as well as written a letter to my bank asking for the fees to be waived.
I explained to them that it is in no way a bank error and my bank will not reverse the fees.
Paypal has admitted to the error but will not take responsibility in fixing what they break.
To pay a $29.18 bill I am now out $140 and I know there are at least 5 more charges pending that I will also be charged for.
In addition, as this was completely unexpected, I have been left with $4 cash in my pocket. I was just hired to be a freelance stylist for a local photographer and I couldn't afford gas to get to my first to days and have there for been terminated. That cost me $500 in income for those two days.
When I spoke to various managers with Paypal they have all told me that they have gone above and beyond in crediting me back for one overdraft fee. They never should have done that as it breaks company policy.
They can not be held responsible for any fees charged by a third party.
In fact they ABSOLUTELY should be responsible for fees I was charged if it is their mistake right?
I have bank statements, letters and emails from Paypal and my bank as well as a letter of termination from the photographer I was to work for.
