I own a Dell Computer. I purchased it because of their so called reputation. A huge mistake. I've read all the other complaints here about Dell. I've read the comments from past employees and current employees. To those current employees, is this a cult? To say that the complaints are not indicative of what goes on every day at Dell, is ridiculous. Are you reading all of them? Report after report, we are experiencing the same problems over and over again. I think it is 'indicative' of what goes on at Dell Computer. My computer never ran right. I called many times with the same problem. Each time we'd get it back running and then a week or so later, same problem. Finally I stopped calling and went through the routine myself each time.in December I installed Windows XP on my system. The computer did the same thing. I kept fixing it. One day I was fed up with making payments on a computer that didn't work right. I called again. This time, the 'tech' and I use that term loosely, told me that he wouldn't help me, because I put XP on it. I told him that this was not a new problem, but the same problem I had been having since I received the computer. He told me that was too bad, I shouldn't have changed the windows, and he hung up on me! I was furious and wrote to Michael Dell. I of course, never received a response. This company just doesn't care about their customers. It doesn't make sense. They actually advertise their 'quaility' customer service. Customer Service is their worse asset. I have never been given the run around so many times on any other system I've owned. I actually owned a computer retail store in the late 80's, and I know I would have never been successful with poor customer and tech service. I don't actually think that Dell makes a bad product; but they do have serious problems with tech support and customer service.

Note to Grey in Nashville: You are such a supporter of Dell, and you are so sure this is not 'business as usual'. If that's the case, tell us how to contact you specifically, or tell us how to contact Michael specifically, and let those of us that have problems with Dell get them cleared up.
