Sells Used Video Card Sold As New

I wanted to buy a video card for my computer. At the time of this writing the Geforce 8800 is Nvidias best chipset.

On www.bestbuy.com they have about the best price you can find on this card. Bestbuy was selling the BFG 8800GT and circuit city was selling a 8800 GT card but from EVGA which is just the company that put the card together, but circuity city wouldnt price match.

So thats just a tactic both companys use that way people cant really use price matching becasue its juts more smoke and mirrors.

Well I order the 8800GT on bestbuy.com and I wait 5 days for a card that I shoulda had from day 1.

Well its here TODAY. I open the box which is sealed and inside I see the anti-static bag has a new sticker, which is usually there to insure your getting a new product, over a old sticker which was ripped.

Even though I was mad about the fact that best buy sold me a used and possibly broke or damaged card, I installed it anyway because I've waited long enuff.

I was trying to play a game and right away the screen went black and the computer wouldn't respond.

To anyone reading this thinking there might be something wrong with what I did or how I installed it, let me just clear that up.

I have been doing on-site computer services for over 8 years. I know how to uninstall video card drivers, install the new drivers and my computer power supply has way more amperage for this video card which only required 28 amps on the 12 volt. Side.

I even went as far as to say well maby it was just that game. I tried another game same thing happened and I felt above the card and it was hot.

So reguardless if someone had bought it overclocked it and broke it or wearther it was damaged from factory and returned to bestbuy.

It ended up being sold to me AS NEW at the tune of 270.00 dollars.

Which is not cheap.

I took it back to best buy told them that I did not appreciate the fact that they would do that, and I wouldn't ever buy anything from them again.

The low paid clerk said with a sarcastic voice. Sorry about your long drive to turn the product but you might want to email bestbuy.com to see what they can do about it.

I just walked off, I know that best buy doesn't make there money from quality, just quantity and for the fact that I'm reading the same types of stores and theres a law suit in Ohio about them doing the same thing makes me realize that never buying from them again is the only way to show them my true apprication for there dis-service.
