Take the money & run - TV repai

Have an old TV that stopped working. Gave the company all of the info on the TV to get the appointment scheduled, including model number and manufactured date. As the tech walks in our door he says, "On, parts aren't available for this TV anymore." He looks at the unit, finds the problem and says there are 2 options to fix it: replace the control board or replace the components to the board. I told him if he could find a whole control board, that would be my preference. 2 weeks later I get a call back saying they will not fix my TV. They can't find a control board and they refused to replace the components. Bye. They didn't even offer a discount a Best Buy to get a new TV. They charged me for a service call, even though they know ahead of time that they would not be able to fix the TV.
