Steam Interactive Support disappointing!

I recently bought to new gaming titles from a retail store. Most of the new gaming titles today is either powered by steam or Live. I installed and upon trying to get the game working I noticed I need additional security codes from steam to ensure my account is valid. Upon trying to do so I had to reset my password. This was completed I now require additional assistance to have two account merged and fix the Steam Guard issues to be able to play the game. I logged calls and was supplied two ref numbers 9774-QUXM-1275 and 3338-RYIJ-6040. Up till now I have not received any feedback or correspondence from Steam. Game developers work with systems like this to combat piracy now to fix it is such a pain is it really worth it STEAM SUPPORT disappointing!!!
