Mop will not heat enough to steam, warranty expired

My shark steam mop will not heat enough to steam. The warranty has expired. I am a senior and this was an expensive item for me, bought to help me clean with less stress. I am very upset. I would like a credit to get another model. Thank you for your kind attention.
