Bad service at Village Ford - salesman

My mother and I had a terrible experience at Village Ford in Dearborn, MI. "Magic" Mike was completely unhelpful and wasted our time. My mother planned to get an Escape, and had talked over the phone with him all week. She told him what she could afford, which was under $400. She reminded him again on the day we went to the dealer. He'd even had her choose exterior and interior colors, so she would have just what she wanted, knowing she would not be able to afford it. After driving half an hour away, he shows her the figures for the vehicle. $599/mo. That was WAY over the budget. He knew she wasn't willing to pay that, yet he wasted our time and his own when he gave her this figure. I was livid. My mother had been excited for the last 2 weeks that her car search was ending, and "Magic" Mike crushed her. Then, after pointlessly talking about this vehicle, he has her go look for something else around $15,000. There was nothing in that range other than an Escape with 79,000 miles on it. There was one for $17,000 and after hyping her up about it, he says, "Oh, this is why we were talking about getting a 2010. You would have to put $3,000 down for this used one." That was out of the question. And not once did he go talk to a manager about working out any deals. When asked why these figures were not discussed over the phone, his reply was that he has a lot of customers and can't give everyone his attention. Well, maybe he shouldn't be working there. Isn't the point of being a salesman to SELL? If you only give 20% to your customer, do you really think they will come back? I was really disappointed and very angry. My mother has been working at the same place for 40 years, and she can't get the vehicle? And to be told so blatantly that he just couldn't give you the attention you deserve just throws salt into the wound. I will NEVER give Village Ford business and I will make a point to spread the word about their poor customer service.
