Ford "Fire" Escape

Our 2001 Ford Escape self ignighted in or driveway 2 years ago due to a failure of a component in our car. Ford Motor Company has never investigated this vehicle and has paid nothing out to us. Our insurance covered the Ford but not for purposes of a repurchase. We assumed that any decent company would have wanted to investigate it's potentially "deadly"product and compensate the parties involved for their loss. But 2 years later we are still getting the runaround. We are disgusted with Ford and the way it treat it's customers.
