No shipment made for 27 days until AFTER I tried to cancel order. Proof!

Ordered a 2002 Pontiak Aztek Engine 3.4L for $995 (free shipping on this order) on 1/17

Paid by credit card/check card on 1/18.

Called a week later to check on shipment. Representative says engine will take 12-14 days to arrive.

Called after 14 days and representative said shipping trucks stopped due to snow. Asked for tracking number and could not provide.

Called after 20 days and representative said shipping trucks stopped due to snow again. Asked for tracking number and could not provide.

Day 27 still no engine. Called and reached representative. Says has not shipped yet due to weather and will ship the next day. Asked for tracking number. Could not provide.

Day 27 emailed and called again to CANCEL order.informed that I would have to pay restock AND shipping fees. Out of $995 I would receive $330 back. I said that I would not pay shipping fees because the thing hadn't shipped (per his information earlier that day). He said it had shipped last week and was sitting in the terminal but could not provide tracking info. He said, "it will be here tuesday (a week from now) I told you that already!"

I said I could not pay his shipping fees because he could not prove he shipped it a week ago. He said he would call back with the tracking info. I said do not ship and cancel order. He said he'd call me back with more info.

Day 27 William called and emailed tracking information #78245628-3 with RNL Carriers (18005351984) and said it would be here FRIDAY the 15th.

Day 27 talked to Tanya at RNL carriers to verify tracking information. 18005351984 x1069 She said the shipment couldn't even register in her system because it was set up THAT VERY DAY. She says no other shipments were headed from Midwest Auto to my location so nothing had even ATTEMPTED to be shipped from Midwest Auto until AFTER I tried to cancel the order. She said that the engine would be picked up from them at 4pm that day (it was 2PM at the time) Furthermore Tanya stated that the roads had not been constantly closed and trucks were running as normal all last month. I realized midwest had lied to me about shipping fees and grossly overstated the cost because they hadn't paid ANYTHING to ship my engine yet! They had RUSHED to ship and get a tracking number because I kept asking for proof that I needed to pay shipping fees. I cannot trust the company.

Searched web and found numerous Usa Consumer Complaints.com entries about this company and their previous company, Mid City Auto Salvage. I know I'm going to be lied to continuously and defrauded at this point so I disputed the charge with my bank today (Feb 13th) and am filing usacomplaints.com and BBB complaints to warn others.

I emailed the company today (day 27) and said NOT to allow the engine to leave their facility today at 4pm because I will REFUSE SHIPMENT if attempted.

Should have looked on here before attempting to use them as a parts dealer. Bad parts, late shipments, one-sided shipping agreements, and lying to boot. Can't stand lying.
