Built me a 1999 black and silver camaro Z28 with a roof that bubbles

Cars & Transport

I am the owner of a 1999 Chevrolet camaro with roof bubbles. This is a common problem known to all 1999-02 camaros with roof (excludes convertables). Commonly when the roof of the car sits in the sun, the glue used to hold on the roof penetrates the roof panel and forms bubbles under the paint. This is a latent defect that chevrolet will refuse repair on, regardless of whether you go to a dealer, or straight to the chevrolet complaint line. Learn more about roof bubbles, and also see the actual service bulliten (which shows chevy is aware of the problem) here:

I believe there is an updates version of this TSB (this tsb's number ends in an "A"), which calls for a different type of glue to be used in the repairing of the roof... Just an fyi

I have an updated version of this tsb somewhere, i can post it at a later time...
