Ripoff, would not honor bad alternator, VERY bad businessman, ripsoff disabled

I do not know if you will be interested but on July 13, I purchased and had installed a new alternator on my 2002 Mercury Cougar. Today February 15 the new alternator went out.

This new alternator has only had 4000 miles put on it. I was stranded in Alabaster, AL and 9 competitor's name deleted - see below) agreed to fix the car. They had to contact Jaspers Auto to get the manufacture information so this warranty could be used.

Upon calling Jaspers they were informed that Jasper did not keep computer records and that they would have to manually find the receipt. After doing this, they realized they did not write down ANY information concerning this warranty, part number, or manufacture.

Jasper the owner informed me that the auto parts stores were stupid, (3 local ones he called and no one had a receipt of him buying an alternator during that time). I told him it sounded like he was the stupid one because I was his customer not the auto stores. He also stated the only way he would authorize this part to be repaired was for me to physically bring him the bad alternator.

When I explained I did not have additional transportation he stated he would not do anything. I paid 328.42 to have this car fixed. I am on disability drawing a check for $ 985.00 a month. I cannot afford to pay for another alternator and hope that he pays me back. I paid with a check # 1002 and he stated that they found all of this information but that they DID NOT note who the alternator came from.

(competitor's name deleted again) stated they would fix the alternator that all he had to do is provide them with the manufacture. Because he cannot they have not fixed my car. If there is anyway possible PLEASE look through your records again and see if you can find an alternator for a 2002 Mercury Cougar sold on July 13-14/05 to Jaspers Auto. It listed for 273.09 and I paid 225.39 for it.

It came from a manufacture who had a lifetime warranty on it. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. I also hope that you are very careful dealing with someone like Japer at Jaspers Auto. He is dishonest, badmouths his suppliers, and tries to blame them for his backwoods stupidity.
