In 2010 I was unemployed due to the company I worked for selling to a overseas firm. I as maiming payments as needed. Minimum payments.
By Sept I was falling behind. Citibank sent a letter giving me options when I called them in response I took a limited payment plan. That was auto-withdrawn from my checking account. This was supposed to be for one year. The payments were supposed to be taken out on the 6th of the month. The first month payment was taken out on the first. This should have given me warning that they are screwed up.
On the 12th payment which was supposed to be in Aug. 2011. Citibank failed to take the amount out of my account. They took the 11th payment. And demanded another payment the following day that was about twice what I agreed to pay. Naturally I refused. I explained the issue with multiple "customer service" reps that called. Explaining that it was the banks mistake and I would not pay the amount they ordered me to. Nor would I pay the "late fee" attached because it was not late.
Now it is Dec CitiBank of thieves calls my house 5x a day and my cell (which I did not give them permission to call) 5x a day. They also send me the occasional text message (again without permission).
I am totally sick of the BS with citi.
