AHS Claims Denial

American Home Shield (AHS) is a scam company that should not be used. They work with "repair companies" that are all owned and operated by the same person. They will not write what is actually broken and why.instead they will "report" to AHS that the reason for the break is due to the consumer. This will guarantee them a $60 service call fee, and not actually have to do a repair. Out of 4 items that I had looked at - they refused 3, and broke 1 additional item.

You will caught in a catch 22 where the insurance company will say that they will only repair things that the repair company finds broken by one of only a few "allowable" methods, and repair company will not write or admit to anything being broken beyond something absolultely not working (ie a refrigerator is not turning on).

My suggest to you is to never use this company unless you just want coverage over just big items that are definitely going to fail. And even then you risk them breaking other things. Very unprofessional and unforgiving company!
