Chargeback of 800GBP for watch sold to buyer in Philippines

Hello, everyone.

I am a seller on eBay. I sold an ORIS watch (my father's watch, by the way) for 800GBP to a guy in the Philippines, and he paid me immediately after purchase by credit card to my PayPal account.

I sent the watch to him insured for 1000GBP by Parcel Force (postage was 49 GBP), and after one week he put a chargeback on me. PayPal took 800 GBP from my account and said, after 90 days of investigation, that it was shipped to a different address than the billing address. But it was not. It was sent to an unconfirmed address on his PayPal account.

What I think is that he changed his address after purchase, and now he has his money back and my watch on his wrist. I do not know what to do now. I am losing more than 800GBP, which is a lot of money for me. If anyone can give me any advice, it would be so helpful.

In a chargeback case, decision timeframes are determined by the card issuer, rather than PayPal. We're required to allow card issuers up to 75 days to decide whether they'll issue a credit to your buyer.

You'll be responsible for the amount of the chargeback until the card issuer reaches its decision. If your PayPal account balance is negative because of this, please add funds to your account as soon as possible.
