No Progress on Credit Card Application After Weeks of Waiting

Their conduct was highly unprofessional. Is this some sort of game they play to wear down prospective customers???

I submitted an application. First they said to wait 24 hours, then a week. A week went by and more, and when I spoke with a representative, I was told to get in touch again after 48 hours. I let far more than 48 hours pass and phoned after 15 days, only to hear that my application had not moved at all. The replies were stock answers from a script.

I was frustrated and felt somewhat insulted that my application was being ignored, so I withdrew it. They must be too busy during the holiday season to look after what we need.
