Directv are a bunch of crooks

Directv sucks. We went to cancel our service with them and got the 300 dollar cancellation fee for canceling early (which was fine I got it). One of the biggest mistakes was having our debit card connected to the account. When I called and talked to one of the representatives in the billing department, they cancelled my card and I made arrangements to pay them installments every time I get paid. As an act of good faith I put 50 dollars towards paying the account down. The next day I went to check my account and they debited almost 200 dollars from my bank account. I called them, talked to two billing representatives (got disconnected twice) and the third rep told me that to get the money back I would have to sign back up with them. "This is why I cancelled my card to begin with to avoid this" I told them. They just did not care. They are a bunch of crooks and basically cleaned my account out. Avoid using directv at all costs. Now I use netflix for my kids shows on tv and use digital television to get my local channels. I hope this helps anyone who is having issues with directv.
