Debit Card Cleared Out After Cancellation Fee and Payment Arrangement

Directv sucks. We went to cancel our service with them and got the 300 dollar cancellation fee for canceling early (which was fine I got it). One of the biggest mistakes was having our debit card connected to the account. When I called and talked to one of the representatives in the billing department, they cancelled my card and I made arrangements to pay them installments every time I get paid. As an act of good faith I put 50 dollars towards paying the account down.

The next day I went to check my account and they debited almost 200 dollars from my bank account. I called them, talked to two billing representatives (got disconnected twice) and the third rep told me that to get the money back I would have to sign back up with them. "This is why I cancelled my card to begin with to avoid this" I told them. They just did not care. They are a bunch of crooks and basically cleaned my account out. Avoid using directv at all costs. Now I use netflix for my kids shows on tv and use digital television to get my local channels. I hope this helps anyone who is having issues with directv.
