My wife and I had Direct TV for 6 months and the bill has never been correct. We have to call every month to explain that the bill is more than double what we should be paying. The service has been poor and we decided to cancel with Direct TV. A representative said that we have to pay a cancellation charge of $340.00 because we had a 2 year contract. I asked for a copy of the contract with my signature because I never had a copy or would have sighned a 2 year contract. Direct TV has not sent a copy and said that they actually don't have one with a signature on it. I also spoke with 2 supervisors and I told them that the service was bad and that I am not going to continue paying for a service that I do not have. We had paid all of our bills on time for the service that we did recieve even though the service was poor. I expained to them, if I go out to eat and the food or service is bad, I will pay for the meal but will choose not to go back there. I have sent back all of the equipment they asked for, however, I will not pay a charge for the poor service that we had recieved in the past.
