I was a customer of Direct TV for over 11 years and cancelled service when moving. My service was solely NFL Sunday Ticket and did not have any monthly TV channels. I never signed a contract for auto renewal or any other information.

Almost 2 years after canceling service I received a call from a collection agency demanding over $140. When asking about the bill, the agency could not provide any description of service, other than to state it was Direct TV. I called Direct TV and was transferred from customer service to cancellations to a supervisor, only to be told after 1 hour on the phone that cancellation could not correct my bill. Since I don't have anything in writing confirming my cancellation (Direct TV) stated that they never received my cancellation.interesting that the first customer service representative stated that my account was suspended but not cancelled. The second customer service representative stated that an additional channel was put on the account 6 months after cancellation. The third person (the supervisor) stated that there was no record of the cancellation and offered me a $20 discount off of this fraudulent bill (for which no service was ever received).

Direct TV treats an 11 year customer by trying to charge for service that was never ordered or received.
