Do not give them cash or a check

I moved and had to have a satelite installed. First someone came out and said that our roof was too high for one person to install the dish alone so they would have to send out a team. Two weeks later someone comes out (only one person) and basically said that they first installer was not telling the truth and could have installed the dish no matter the height by himself. The second installer tells me that in fact the dish can't go on the roof b/c of signal and has to be dug into the ground with cement and it will be a $75 dollar charge. I write a check to Directv for $75. Three weeks later the check was finally cleared at the bank. The second installer crossed out Directv and wrote his own name and cashed it a casino. I called him and he admitted it, saying he had a kid. I called his boss and he said they would handle it and return my money. Two months later after asking for my refund they stated I will not be getting my money back and that I should drop the issue and need to contact their corporate lawyers if I want to even consider getting the $75 back. Needless to say, never give the installers cash or a check for "extra charges" have them charge your account.
