Rebooking flight - AIRLINE TICKETS

After canceling a flight and being told by the website we had until Sept. Know being told needed to book by October so know I seem to have lost all my money. They say they are working on it with the airlines and they will call back but not getting return calls and flights are booking up and prices going up.
