Reservations more expensive than walk ins

If you want a cheaper hotel, either go somewhere else or don't make a reservation. I made a reservation and upon arrival noticed a sign that stated "All rooms $39.99" I asked for that rate and was told, "Sorry, that is the rate for walk ins only." I took the time to search out Days Inn, made the reservation and pay more.

I wrote to the corporation and was informed that each hotel is individually franchised so don't expect any help or support from the namesake.

I'll find Super 8 next time I travel...
