Incorrect room rate reservation and hotel cancellation policy Internet

A reservation was made on line and confirmed at a rate of $279 per night. The hotel actually charged $319 per night. The reservation confirmation said it was a 15 day prior cancellation policy and the actual hotel policy was 45 days.

I called Places to Stay via email (to date have
not had a response) and then by phone with them saying I had to deal with the hotel directly.
They insisted that the hotel made the mistake and gave them bad information.
The reservation agent at the hotel said they faxed back a letter to them stating that the rates were $319 not $279.

I would not recommend anyone do business with Places to Stay.com.
