I found Motel 9 in the Travel guide www.roomsaver.com. It all began on July 17, initially I attempted to submit a reservation for 2 nights July 18-19, however the reservation had to be 2 days ahead was how the manager wanted the software, and to call for a reservation per a returned email from the CADD Project design at www.projectcadd.com/randy@projectcadd.com Randy Hoover Software Design Engineer 760-721-8750 fax - 760-721-5163.

I then changed my previous travel plans, and on July 17 2 days before my arrival date submitted a 1 night reservation for July 19 at Motel 9 using my Visa card to secure the room. On July 18, I was happy to receive a prompt response and confirmation number from their reservation clerk. Well with nothing to worry about, so I thought my 7 year old son and I ventured off on our over night trip to Legoland, which is over 200 miles from our home, and about 6 miles south of Motel 9. We were up since 5am, spent the day at Legoland, and left there when it closed at 8pm. We drove northbound to what we thought was a comfy kingsize bed, non-smoking room for my son and I, which was $71.45 from arrival by July 19 to Departure July 20 by 12pm.

We entered the office it was July 19 about 8:45pm, there was a matronly asian lady attending the counter. I presented her with a computer printed copy of my confirmation number received which I printed on my computer. She looked at the paper, then looking at me saying "Who you, don't know you, you not on reservations. I showed her their email From: at the top of the paper, and said this is Motel 9 reservation email. She said "We no use 6 number reservation number, we only use 4 number reservation number. I showed her the number on my paper, all the while she was using her ink pen to scratch out my To: email address on the paper. The To: with my address and telephone number, that it was me and I had my driver's license in hand to show her proof.

The lady stated "We don't have Kingsize bed on property, we don't have room for you." I attempted to explain to her that we've been up since 5am, I have a reservation for a room there, period.
She again said "Who you, we have no room for you." "You should have telephoned to confirm the room was available, we've been booked up since all last week. Then in walked a black man who went behind the counter and sat down. I attempted to explain the situation to him. He didn't say a word.

I asked the asian lady if I could speak to the manager she said " I ownaa." I advised the lady that she wasn't going to get away with not honoring my confirmed reservation. The asian lady then said " I have a 2 bed smoking room you can have for $89.95, I advised her that was unacceptable I was a nonsmoker and would not put my child in that kind of room, besides it was almost $20 more than my reserved room, and it would be unhealthy. We finally left it was now 9:30pm, my son and I were exhausted and had no room. I am filing a formal complaint with www.roomsaver.com and forwarding this ripoff to them as well.
